Practicum Student Program
Therapeutic Assessment (TA) is an approach to understanding a child’s emotional/social/education concerns which combine psychological assessment and clinical intervention in a collaboration between therapist, child and family. The TA approach endeavors to develop a more accurate, compassionate, clear, and useful story about the child and the world. Decades of research show that TA helps clients feel better and more capable of taking their next steps in life.
Child Haven provides a training program that includes individual supervision, case conference, didactic and liaison work. Advanced Practicum students will have already taken formal coursework in child evaluation. The training commitment is for one year @ 20-24/hrs. per week with stipend.
