Services

           Child Haven offers an array of services and treatments including individual therapy, dyadic therapy, family therapy, art therapy, group therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, mental health screenings and psychological assessments.  Child Haven services help ensure the successful physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children. 

           Child Haven’s staff is specialty trained to address the needs of children and families who have experienced the trauma of physical and sexual abuse, family violence, and severe neglect.

PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy)

           Child Haven is the only approved agency in Solano County to provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).  PCIT is one of only two forms of therapies recognized by the federal Office of the Victims of Crime for treating the trauma of child abuse.  Child Haven's PCIT staff has undergone rigorous training and certification by the University of California, Davis CAARE Center.

           PCIT is an intensive mental health treatment program that is designed to work with caregivers and children together to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and to teach caregivers the skills necessary to manage their child’s severe behavior problems.

 

Mobile Unit

           Committed to addressing the issue of transportation needs, Child Haven is on the go!  Through collaborations with schools and other community agencies, Child Haven offers PCIT throughout Solano county to families in their own neighborhoods
